Mama Glo Speaks: From Incarceration to Liberation -  produced by TCB Curates and The Carpetbag Brigade

Wednesday February 25th 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

at The Hazeltine Theater

"Mama Glo" Gloria Williams speaks about her path to liberation after spending 50+ years incarcerated in Louisiana.

Gloria Dean Williams served the longest sentence of any woman in Louisiana - 52 years. She was released in 2022. She tours the country sharing from her upcoming book “The Unbreakable Queen”. “I left prison loving people more than when I entered. My story has helped countless incarcerated women, as well as touched every single person I've met on the outside.” She has been a speaker at the Beyond the Bars Conference at Columbia University, and tours regularly with ArtSpot's performance The Road to Damascus (As Told by Grandmother to Little Red).

“The worst thing to do is to incarcerate your mind with your body. You have to keep your mind free, planning the future.”

Please RSVP for this event.

Tickets are donation based.

ABOUT US

Welcome to The Hazeltine!

Donated in 1969, for the next 55 years, 208 N. Marina St. was hope to, and the heartbeat of, Community Theatre in Prescott. After a tumultuous period post 2020, the
Theatre took it’s final bow in August of 2024.

Through the hard work and vision of a collective group of Arts Professionals, Entrepreneurs, and Community Minded Individuals, 208 N. Marina’s final curtain call was
more of an intermission.

Today, the property is home to 4th Wall Productions and Marina Events, with a full calendar of events, Four Annual mainstage productions, as well as workshops, summer stock, and experimental theatre.

Whether joining us for an evening at the theatre, enjoying guests artists, or looking for a space to host you next corporate or social event, join us at The Hazeltine.
